The championship-winning Hungkuang Falcons team members include Wen-Wei Liao (junior, Department of Multimedia Game Development and Applications), Tsung-Long Shen (sophomore, Department of Multimedia Game Development and Applications), Ting-Yu Chen (sophomore, Department of Multimedia Game Development and Applications), Min-Hsun Tsai (sophomore, Department of Multimedia Game Development and Applications), and Yu-Hao Yang (freshman, Department of Intelligent Technology Applications).

This cross-grade, cross-department composition highlights Hungkuang University’s strength in integrating diverse talents and fostering collaborative training, further demonstrating the university’s commitment to cultivating esports professionals with both teamwork and technical excellence.

Chien-Chi Huang, Executive Director of the Hungkuang University International Esports Industry Center, stated that the key to the team’s successful title defense lies in the students’ perseverance and self-discipline—their commitment to continuous practice, team communication, and tactical coordination, as well as precise execution during competitions.

He emphasized that the university’s Esports Industry Center provides long-term resource support, while the dedicated guidance of coach Yi-Chan Chen has been a crucial backbone, enabling the team to consistently perform at a high level on the competitive stage.

Huang added that the live broadcast of this year’s tournament was jointly managed by the Hungkuang University IEIC (International Esports Industry Center) live-streaming team, composed of both faculty and students. Since esports broadcasting involves complex division of labor and technical coordination, this real-world experience not only enhanced students’ practical skills but also allowed them to actively participate in and witness a moment of glory for the university—an experience of profound significance.

In recent years, Hungkuang University has been proactively developing industry–academia collaborations and hands-on training in esports. By engaging in major esports events and cross-disciplinary learning opportunities, the university is dedicated to cultivating well-rounded esports professionals equipped with both competitive strength and innovative capabilities.
